Transfer of Credit Policy

Students transferring from other colleges or universities will follow the admissions checklist and in addition:

  • Arrange for all official college/university transcripts to be sent to Regent Central University(RCU). Students with college credit earned elsewhere will be classified as transfer students. Up to 95 semester credits may be transferred into a Bachelor degree program at RCU. Up to 30 semester credits may be transferred into an Bachelor degree program at RCU.

  • Courses must be similar to those taught at RCU in order to be accepted in transfer.

  • Students transferring from a non-accredited institution may transfer a limited number of credits. Such credits will be transferred after students have successfully completed one academic year with a recognized institution. Students meeting the criteria will have credits approved for transfer and the credits will be placed on the academic transcript at that time. Students failing to meet the criteria after the year-long grace period will no longer be eligible to receive those credits in transfer and they will then need to take those courses at RCU.

For students who have attended classes at RCU, but never finished an academic transcript of credit may be obtained through our head office. Students will not be issued official transcripts if they have outstanding bills with any office of the college or if student loans are in default.
